Assistant Professor of Instruction in Biological Sciences

Northwestern University’s Department of Molecular Biosciences invites applications for a full time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible faculty appointment as Assistant Professor of Instruction, beginning September 1, 2020. Duties include teaching six quarter-long undergraduate courses per academic year, or the equivalent in student advising, in the Biological Sciences major. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field, which must be conferred by September 1, 2020. Preference will be given to candidates who have demonstrated excellence, breadth, and innovation in teaching. We are interested in candidates whose primary career interest is in undergraduate education. Examples of classes that might be taught include: Epigenetics/Genomics, Computational Biology, Molecular Evolution and Immunology, but may vary based on the expertise of the candidate.
